Who We Are
The Lake Country Arts Council is a non-profit society with a mandate to promote, foster and encourage the arts within the District of Lake Country.
What We Do
We support all aspects of the arts including visual and performing arts. As an umbrella organization we sponsor and host numerous art related events in and around our community.
Our Mission Statement
We believe the arts are essential to the life of the community. It is the mission of the Lake Country Arts Council to support and to expand the opportunities for diverse artistic expression and to bring the community together in celebration of our rich cultural heritage.
Mandate:
- To promote and foster participation in the arts in Lake Country.
- To encourage development of opportunities to perform, create, exhibit and appreciate the arts
- To serve as a clearing house for information related to the arts
- To bring to the attention of local, regional, provincial, and federal authorities the artistic needs of the community
- To raise funds for carrying out the objectives of the Council
- To encourage the participation of youth in the arts
- To encourage arts education
- To promote community engagement through Arts and other means
